The customer has 2 years from delivery to bring a claim. They may choose between repair and replacement of the goods, subject to the cost conditions set out in Article L217-12. They are not required to prove the existence of the lack of conformity during the 24 months following delivery.
Legal guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code): the customer may choose to invoke the guarantee against hidden defects in the goods sold. They may then choose between rescission of the sale or a reduction in price, in accordance with Article 1644 of the French Civil Code.
